A player-focused and results-driven professional with extensive experience coaching, managing and developing elite academy and senior first team players across the UK, Europe and Asia, with demonstrable experience building high performance teams capable of taking on board tactical instruction in pursuit of domestic and international achievements.

Naturally incorporates elements of strength and conditioning into training to enhance the physical preparation and athletic performance of players, ensuring teams have the necessary resources to not only develop but also play to their potential.

A visible leader and approachable manager able to gain the buy-in of players by building a personal rapport, instilling a culture amongst squads that promotes hard work, teamwork and a commitment to supporting a collective club philosophy.

Key Achievements

  • Western United First Team were runners-up in the Solomon Island Telekom Cup in the 2014/15 season
  • Integrated a mixed team of foreign and local players at Western United to compete in their first Champions League finals
  • While at Abha FC, was the youngest foreign manager in the Saudi League and contributed to the development and progress of several U18 players into the first team while ensuring survival on a minimal budget
  • At Dinamo Tbilisi, won the Georgian Umagelesi Championship, Georgian Cup and Georgian Super Cup runners up in 2013/14
  • Seven players from the FC Dinamo Tbilisi first team were called up to represent their respective national team
  • While at FC Dinamo Tbilisi, all U6 to U23 academy teams won their respective leagues
  • Grays Athletic won the Ryman League North in 2011/12 and all U8 - U14 Academy teams won their league in 2012/13
  • Kent University achieved back to back promotions in 2010 and 2011, and remained in the first league until Riccardo’s departure
  • Progressed six Ashford Town U18 players into the reserves and first team competing in the Ryman Premier League
  • Won the East Youth League and League Cup in the same year at Hythe
