A passionate, innovative and highly experienced football coach who has built a proven record in identifying and developing young talent as the current Director of Coerver Coaching in Iceland and a former Head of Youth at multiple clubs.

Possesses strong leadership, organisation and communication skills as well as the ability to have a tangible impact on the career progression of talented players and coaches - working with a number of young players that have gone on to establish themselves at senior level, as well as regularly delivering seminars to coaches qualified to UEFA and Icelandic Football Association level.

A player focused and technically skilled coach who is now looking to explore new challenges in the game that provide the opportunity to provide a positive influence on the long term success of an ambitious club or football organisation.

  • Has successfully led the growth and management of Coerver Coaching in Iceland for 13 years
  • Established a positive and longstanding partnership with top flight club Breidablik UBK, who have sold 20 young players abroad since 2005 including Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea City AFC), Jóhann Gudmundsson (Burnley FC) and Alfred Finnbogason (FC Augsburg)
  • Helped produce future senior players such as Matthías Vilhjálmsson (Rosenborg BK), Fannar Sævarsson (Keflavik FC), Dofri Snorrason (Vikingur Reykjavik FC) and Arnthór Atlason (Breidablik UBK)
  • Coached twins Nökkvi and Thorri Thorisson from the age of 10 to 14, who have recently signed for German club Hannover 96
  • Has delivered regular coaching seminars in Iceland that have been attended by more than 300 coaches combined, including more than 100 coaches on behalf of the Icelandic FA
