Key Achievements

  • Qabala development team/reserve team recorded the highest points, league position and number of goals scored in the club’s history during the 2009/10 season, all of which was achieved with the youngest team in the country
  • Three players were successfully promoted to the reserves to play an active role in Qabala’s first team during the highly successful 2011/12 season
  • Six reserve team players at Qabala were called up to the Azerbaijan U19 national team during the 2010/11 season
  • Created and implemented a new technical coaching programme at Tottenham that facilitated the progression of skilled young players
  • Managed and coached a Tottenham academy team at a number of major European tournaments against elite opponents including Barcelona, AC Milan, Arsenal, Hertha Berlin, Rapid Vienna and Dynamo Kiev
  • Gained exposure to elite coaching methods at Tottenham and Chelsea through interaction with managers, coaches, technical directors and international calibre players - including Jose Mourinho, Brendan Rodgers, Harry Redknapp, Ray Wilkins and Frank Arnesen
  • Played a key role in the development of several talented young players currently in the England youth teams including Rubens Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea FC (England U21) and Marcus Edwards of Tottenham Hotspur FC (England U17)
  • Signed two 17 year olds who were released from their respective clubs, now both have recently moved on to play in the Premier League and their U21 national squad
  • Has successfully produced the most youth international players for the Qabala reserve team at any one time, with six playing for the U19 and two at U21 leve
