Lead Swimming Coach - ASA Level 2 (or Level 1 working towards Level 2)

JOB TITLE: LEAD SWIM COACH
DEPARTMENT: SWIMMING DEPARTMENT
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF CENTRE
HOURS PER WEEK: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
HOLIDAYS: MINIMUM 50 DAYS PER CALENDAR YEAR TO BE TAKEN DURING THE OFF-SEASON BREAK.
LOCATION: AL WAAB & WEST BAY
To be responsible for all coaching sessions and coaching staff within the swimming programme, which fall in line with the Evo Coaching philosophy, vision and values of the Academy and the Club as a whole.
To work closely with all other coaches within your department.
Responsible for planning and delivering the technical and tactical coaching programme for your respective teams in line with the coaching syllabus.
To compile performance reviews, and deliver feedback to players and parents both formally and informally as required.
Coordinate and communicate session changes, festivals and events with
To identify and recommend players for movement to a diufb00erent ability group.
To support community initiatives as required including PE support, after-school
clubs, tournaments and school fayres.

Responsible for planning and delivering the technical and tactical coaching programme for your respective swimmers in line with the coaching syllabus.
Coach and manage your respective teams during matches, festivals and events.
To evaluate players learning from coaching sessions and matches and ensure
that the relevant information is recorded fully
To conduct group, unit and individual video analysis sessions if appropriate.
To be fully responsible for the safety and welfare of all swimmers under your
Player Development and Progression:
To compile performance reviews, and deliver feedback to swimmers and parents
both formally and informally as required.
To compile a formal report of conclusions and actions following the performance review meetings and ensure that these are recorded on The Sports Office.
To liaise on a regular basis with the Head of Centre and Lead Phase Coaches to ensure that the needs of all players are catered for.
Talent ID and Recruitment:
To identify and recommend swimmers for movement to a different ability group.
To agree any player movement within departmental meetings and inform parents
of any movement accordingly.
Attend school/local club meets where possible and be active in the recruitment
of swimmers into the Evolution Swimming programme.
Support the recruitment of the swim squads, ensuring recruitment is of the highest standards possible.
Monitor potential safeguarding children risks and work with the Academy Safeguarding Officer to promote safer working practice throughout the Academy.
Understand the Academy Safeguarding policy, procedures and best practice
guidelines. Use this understanding to ensure safer recruitment, safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
To ensure that The Sports Office is kept up to date in all matters relating
to your groups.
To keep the Head of Centre fully informed on all matters relating to swimmers in your groups.
To attend staff meetings as required.
To attend meets as required.
To support community initiatives as required including PE support, after school
clubs, tournaments and school fayres.
To be active on social media and post regular images to support the promotion
of the swimming programme.
To be aware of current trends and best practice in Youth Development.
To continually look for ways to develop and improve our coaching programme.
To undertake Continued Professional Development organised by the Club.
Understand, adhere to and enforce the codes of conduct set
by Evolution Sports for players, parents and coaches.
Ability to plan, deliver, develop and monitor Swimming coaching sessions.
Ability to effectively manage player, parent & staff relationships.
Ability to work independently and with internal and external teams.
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail.
An ability to adapt quickly, be flexible in the face of change and solution
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
High levels of customer service; promptly respond to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations.
Computer literate (with excellent abilities on Word, Excel and ideally Database knowledge and application).
Good understanding of sports equity issues

An understanding of Swimming in Qatar and the Gulf Region
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE-
Experience of working with and supporting children/adolescent swimmers during coaching sessions
Experience of co-ordinating activities for a large number of people
Experience of event management, developing timetables and working to deadlines
Experience of working within the swimming industry
Experience of working with and supporting children during coaching sessions
Knowledge of FINA rules and competition structure.
